Round box in horn (Bovidae) lined with tortoiseshell (Cheloniidae spp*), probably early 19th century. Centered on an applied medallion of a love altar on a mother-of-pearl (Pinctada margaritifera) background, encircled by 750 thousandths gold, (missing, scratched). Diameter: 62 mm. Gross weight: 41.5 g. *Specimen classified in Appendix I, Appendix A of the Washington Convention, pre-convention. Specimen predates June 1, 1947 and complies with European Community Regulation 338/97 of 09/12/1996 art 2 W SCE and SPMC, as well as the French Environment Code. If leaving the EU, a CITES re-export permit is required.
