Porcelain wax case mounted in gold, Marks: helmeted head discharge for 1768-1774 and monkey head discharge for 1774-1780, Paris, 18th century. The porcelain depicts landscapes animated by figures, the interior in tortoiseshell (Cheloniidae spp*), (small scratches and wear). Height: 111 mm. Gross weight: 48.5 g. *Specimen classified in Appendix I, Appendix A of the Washington Convention, pre-convention. Specimen predates June 1, 1947 and complies with European Community Regulation 338/97 of 09/12/1996 art 2 W SCE and SPMC, as well as the French Environment Code. If leaving the EU, a CITES re-export permit is required.
