Round yellow gold box, the lid set with a miniature, probably France, circa 1770. The under-glass miniature depicts a country scene, the body decorated with mother-of-pearl and rose gold bands and others engraved with foliage, the interior in tortoiseshell (Cheloniidae spp*) and horn (Bovidae), (missing, small impacts). Diameter: 59 mm. Gross weight: 63.1 g. *Specimen classified in Appendix I, Appendix A of the Washington Convention, pre-convention. Specimen predates June 1, 1947 and complies with European Community Regulation 338/97 of 09/12/1996 art 2 W SCE and SPMC, as well as the French Environment Code. If leaving the EU, a CITES re-export permit is required.
