A set of three photo albums, circa 1930–35, containing a total of nearly four hundred forty prints, mostly original silver gelatin prints from that period. One album, titled on the front cover “Crocodile Hunting - Rio de Janeiro 1933”; on the inside back cover, handwritten annotations read: “A crocodile hunt in Brazil, August 26–27, 1933—photographs taken by Mr. and Mrs. Aubry-Brygoo / Grand Baudoïn Carpentier-Hutier (…)”. Two albums with handwritten captions on mounted prints. Examples of subjects: aviation, crocodile captures, hunters, railroads, fishing, locals, scenes of daily life, military personnel, beaches, “Panorama of Juiz-de-Fora,” “Lagoa Santa,” “Interior of the Church of Sabara,” “Trip to the State of Minas—October 1934,” waterfalls, boarding a boat, “Second drying of the matte,” Paraguayan soldiers, gold and diamond prospectors, members of an indigenous tribe (on the border with Bolivia and Paraguay), crossing the Rio Perdido, “4-cylinder” car, etc. Full-size photographs ranging from 6 x 4.5 cm to 23 x 17 cm. Images and albums in various conditions, with marks, stains, and missing sections.
