Certified copy of the decisions by the Convention commissioners responsible for inspecting the ports and coasts of the Republic, Niou and Mazade, approving “General Verteuil’s defense plan for the departments of Lower Loire, Vendée, the Deux-Sèvres, and the Lower Charente,” and requiring the local administrations, the commissioners of war, military commanders, and officers to work toward “the prompt execution of the defense plan”... Attached is a certificate of appointment (P.A.S.) for Verteuil as lieutenant general.
