Six-column text in nasta'liq script in black ink, 31 lines per page. Polychrome gouache depicting Bahman and Faramarz fighting in front of a palace, with an army looking on. Page size: 38.5 x 26 cm; written surface: 29.8 x 18.4 cm; painting: 13.4 x 18.4 cm. The manuscript from which this page comes, which has been dispersed on the French market for decades, contains the text of the Shah-nama, into which several other epic tales have been interspersed, including the Bahman-nama and the Faramarz-nama.
