Chastelet de La Lyre du Jeune Apollon, ou la Muse Naissante du Petit de Beauchasteau. Paris, Charles de Sercy et Guillaume de Luynes, 1657. In-4°, contemporary fawn morocco, spine and covers decorated with rich petit fers, roulette on the edges and inside, gilt edges. [40] ff, 262 pp, [4] ff, [3] ff. faux-title and address to Cardinal Mazarin with headband with his arms, 127 pp, [3] pp. including mention of the printer and privilege. The collation may vary according to the copy. Without the portraits. 2 old handwritten bookplates on the title and verso of the title, one of which is Perrin de la Morte (?) 1723 and another illegible. A washed copy. Binding restored at the end of the 19th or beginning of the 20th century, rebacked on some boards, as well as the spine. One spine almost completely split with epidermal marks, spine browned. Epidermal marks and small losses on the boards and minor defects. Back covers, endpapers and first and last blank leaves renewed. A few scattered light old stains. Some yellowed leaves. Staining to the title. In the state without return. Specific present binding, of which a few almost identical copies are known. Cf.
