BUFFET in carved wood, decorated on the front of the facade with a vase of flowers, a butterfly and a buire, all in ivory, lacquer and mother-of-pearl. Carved decoration of flowering stems and ideograms on the left side, and falling branches on the other. Stepped tray. Engraved signature "G. VIARDOT Paris" followed by the date 1888 written in ink. In the taste of the Far East, late 19th century. H. 133 cm - L. 87 cm - P. 52 cm. (Some lacks in the decoration). Gabriel Viardot (1830-1906), Parisian cabinetmaker specializing in the production of furniture in the taste of the Far East, gold medal at the 1889 and 1900 Universal Exhibitions.
