Charles-Alexis Brulart de SILLERY, Count of Genlis (1737–1793), brigadier general, deputy for the nobility of the bailiwick of Reims in the Estates-General, member of the Convention (Somme), guillotined along with the Girondins. Letter from the author (L.A.S.), Calais, November 10, 1792, to Forth; half-page, in-4. Regarding his wife, Madame de Genlis... “I am arriving in Calais to meet Citizen Sillery, who is dying of fear of our good sans-culottes, who mean her nothing but well. I hope to have the pleasure of seeing her soon.” He then gives orders regarding 34 crates and 2,000 bottles of wine. He signs: “Citizen Sillery.”
