Regarding the Regiment of the French Guards. “It is my intention that all the standard-bearers’ flags of my Regiment of the French Guards that are purchased ” as of January 1, 1750 “shall no longer be sold, whether an officer leaves with or without a pension, or whether he enters another service, with the aim of thereby reducing the sale of companies in my Regiment of the Guards”… Autograph signature. Attached is a document bearing the autograph note “bon” (1763; 1 p., small in-4), authorizing a gratuity for a sergeant who lost his horse during the 1762 campaign.
