In-8°, contemporary long-grained red morocco, smooth spine decorated with antique-style gilt decoration, gilt frieze framing the covers, gilt roulette on the edges and inside, blue moire lined endpapers with gilt vine flower frieze framing, gilt edges. Vij pp. including title, 66 pp. Handwritten ex-dono in pen on page 5 "From the author to Mr. de Valenthinois". Handwritten de Valenthinois bookplate on title. Handwritten ex-donation in pen "given by de Valenthinois to d'Estan in 1820" to title. Minor rubbing to boards, two corners dulled. Frequent foxing to paper. NB: Only books with pagination or plates have been collated.
