In-12, contemporary long-grained green morocco, ornate smooth spine, title in full, gilt roulette framing the boards and inside, gilt initials GD or HD in the center of the boards, gilt fillet on the edges, gilt edges. Xxviij pp. of which faux-titre, title, notice, Caractère de Montaigne by Pascal and warning of the former edition, 246 pp. of which table. Text framed on each page. A few very slight traces of rubbing to the binding and minor foxing to the first few leaves.
