Enamel and ivory navette-shaped box mounted in 585-thousandths gold, Foreign work, 19th century, the hinged lid adorned with a medallion of braided hair, framed by two panels of translucent blue enamel, the interior in blue velvet with a monogrammed gold-set medallion of hair, (small crack on ivory (Elephantidae spp*)), (small scratches and wear). Width: 94 mm. Gross weight: 42.1 g. *Pre-Convention Elephantidae spp (I/A) ivory specimen, prior to July 1, 1947 and therefore in compliance with EC Regulation 338/97 of 09/12/1996 art.2-W SCE and SPMC, and prior to July 1, 1975 and therefore in compliance with the French decrees of May 4, 2017 and January 2022.
