Miniature apparently depicting Monseigneur du Chilleau on ivory (Elephantidae SPP)*, in a rectangular giltwood frame. 19th century. (missing parts, accidents). Height of the miniature: 8 cm. Frame size : 17 x 16 cm. Monseigneur Jean-Baptiste du Chilleau (1735-1824) was chaplain to the queens Marie Leczinska and Marie-Antoinette, and archbishop of the French royal palace. Marie-Antoinette, Archbishop of Tours and Peer of France under the Restoration.
