Wax case in 750 thousandths gold, Goldsmith: probably Souchay & Colin, Hanau, circa 1830. Decorated with fluting and foliage on an amatized ground, the lid adorned with a medallion inscribed "Colette"; with a shagreen case (made of Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar*) fish dermis (shagreen)), (small scratches). Height: 82 mm. Gross weight: 11.5 g. *Species not regulated under the Washington Convention (CITES) and EC regulations 338/97 of 09/12/1996 SCE and SPMC and the French Environment Code.
