Tortoiseshell box mounted in gilded metal, probably Paris circa 1760. Oval, in tortoiseshell (Cheloniidae spp*), with gilded and silvered decoration of flowers and foliage, hinged lid, (restorations, missing). Dimensions: 91 x 40 mm. *Ivory specimen of pre-Convention Elephantidae spp (I/A), predating July 1, 1947 and therefore compliant with Reg. CE 338/97 du 09/12/1996 art.2-W SCE et SPMC, and prior to July 1, 1975 and therefore compliant with the French decrees of May 4, 2017 and January 2022. To leave the European Union, a CITES re-export permit is required.
