Sea turtle shell evening set (Cheloniidae* spp (I/A) pre-convention): a compact, the lid lined with a mirror and a lipstick holder. The inside is in 800-thousandths vermeil. Gilt metal chain. Late 19th century. Gross weight: 111.5 g. *Specimen classified in Appendix I, Appendix A of the Washington Convention, pre-convention. Specimen predates June 1, 1947 and complies with European Community Regulation 338/97 of 09/12/1996 art 2 W mc, as well as the French Environment Code. A CITES re-export certificate is required for export from the EU.
