Pablo PICASSO (1881 - 1973) Goat's head in profile. Round square plate, original imprint in white earthenware decorated with oxidized kerosene and a white, brown and green enamel bath, stamped Empreinte originale de Picasso, Madoura Plein Feu on the back. 25.5 x 25 cm (On reverse: cracks under the glaze or firing defects; a chip on the side at the rim). Created in 1950 and produced in an edition of 50. Bibliography: - Picasso, catalog de l'oeuvre céramique édité 1947-1971, by Alain Ramié, Éditions Madoura, 1988, a similar example is described and reproduced on page 60 under number 106.
