CHINE - Epoque DAOGUANG (1821 - 1850) A pair of poly-lobed celadon-enameled porcelain jardinières decorated in gold enamel with lotus flowers in foliage, the heel decorated with leiwen friezes. On the reverse, the six-character zhuanshu mark of Daoguang in blue underglaze. H. 8.8 and 21.2 cm. Wooden bases. Minor chips. Reference: a planter with similar decoration reproduced in Qian Zhenzong, Qingdai ci pinshang jian (Appreciation of Qing dynasty porcelain), 1994, Shanghai, p. 244, pl. 325.
