P.S. with autograph apostille, Bonn 4 frimaire III (November 24, 1794); 1 oblong page in-fol. with red wax seal (slight cracks repaired). Absolute military leave "because of infirmities following the glorious wounds that the cy-après named received while fighting with intrepidity and with all the Republican bravery the vile sattellites of the coalised despots against our Liberty at the Battle of Botté near Namur" for the volunteer Jean Bardoux, native of Chamery (Marne). The coin is signed by the board of directors of the 26th half-brigade of infantry of the Year of Sambre and Meuse, including the future generals BISSON (1767-1811) and HUARD DE SAINT-AUBIN (1770-1812).
