Hubert LYAUTEY (1854-1934) Marshal. L.A.S., December 25, 1912, to a Director; 3 pages in-8 on his letterhead General Lyautey Resident General in Morocco. "We understood each other, I believe, yesterday on the importance and the high scope of the "Ministry of Public Health and Hygiene" such as I would conceive it in Morocco - encompassing all the sanitary organizations - military - civil - indigenous - scientific". Wismans seems to him the right man for the job... 3 L.S. are attached, 1916-1919, regretting the refusal of his correspondent to go to Morocco, and the difficulty of setting up his ministry of health.
