TWO hanging tapestries, in wool and silk: ver_x0002_dures of lush wooded landscapes. One is embellished with an otter grasping a fish, in the middle of a stream, a squirrel on the right and small birds in the trees. The other is animated by a rabbit, birds and a deer at the edge of a wood. Hilly background. Lateral borders with twisted half-columns, upper border with a central medallion landscape and a gallery with fruit garlands and columns. Flanders, 17th century. One: H. 255 x 323 cm - the other 248 x 272 cm. Although diminished, and affected by some restorations, small accidents and wear, these tapestries, which have been doubled, are in a good state of conservation, and the colours very fresh.
