The neck is decorated with three friezes of spirals, foliage and greek. The two handles decorated with peonies. H. 33,4 cm. CHINA - QIANLONG Period (1736 - 1795) Bianhu blue and white porcelain gourd, in the center a medallion holding a lotus flower, surrounded by a scroll of peonies and lotus among their foliage. The piriform blue-white porcelain ewers, inspired by ancient Ming forms as well as traditional ancient Ming motifs, belong to the classical repertoire of the imperial kilns of Jingdezhen during the reigns of Emperor Yongzheng and Emperor Qianlong.
