École française du XVIIIe siècle. Portrait of Marie-Anne Haron d'Honneville (? - 1771), a fold in the left hand. Pastel. On the reverse side an old handwritten label recalls the identity of the model and that of her husband. H. 64 - L. 50,5 cm. Marie-Anne Haron d'Honneville was the wife of François-Marie le Cornu, knight, Lord and Patron of Bimorel (1705-1775), President à mortier at the Parliament of Rouen, descendant of one of the oldest families of Normandy, and first cousin by marriage of Voltaire (Cf. François Alexandre Aubert de La Chesnaye - Desbois & Badier, Dictionnaire de la noblesse, p. 319 - 1863).
