Hanging lamp in matt and burnished gilt bronze representing a young mother, sitting on a Directoire chair, looking with tenderness at the child who is approaching her, preparing to give her some bread. Hexagonal section base decorated with children playing, one with a dog, the other with a cart. Uprights decorated with children, perched on antique tripods, each holding two exotic birds. Enamel dial of "MESNIL à Paris". Wire suspension. Empire period. H. 48,5 cm - W. 29 cm. Recently cleaned bronzes. The movement seems to work but needs to be revised, the hammer of the bell is broken. A very slightly bent needle. Very slight shocks.
