LARGE Louis XVI PORTICAL HANGER in white marble, black marble, matte and burnished gilt bronze. It depicts an allegory of Justice and Strength in the guise of two goddesses, Themis and Athena, with their shields in the centre. Enamel dial located "à Paris", indicating the hours, minutes and dates, surmounted by an eagle waving on a thunderbolt. The base is cut out in the shape of a crossbow. Suspension with wire and ringing on bell. Around 1790-1800. A lyre hand redone, slight accidents, the functioning of the mecha_x0002_nism has not been checked.
